Akibaangels.com is an online news site that features "Otaku" culture, trend and artists in Japan, US and Europe. We have a strong emphasis on featuring Doujin / indie creators and their works who are involved in Anime themed arts.

The word "Akiba" is an abbreviation of "Akihabara", which is commonly used by locals. Akihabara is one of the districts in Tokyo where often known as "The center of Electronics and Animations". The street of Akihabara is very unique. It is full of animation characters and latest electronics product display. Sound of pop music and electronics comes out of every store with its maximum volume. People with cosplay are standing at corner of streets, handing flyers. It is very lively town. You will see nothing like this at anywhere in the world! Furthermore, we occassionally publish "collaboration Doujinshi" by Japanese and American creators. (The very first one is released in Jan 2006, Neko-Mimi Project Vol.1), now available at Virtual Artist Alley.
