It's a Garage kit (amateur-produced model kit) show held in summer and winter every year. Both professional and armature 3D artists exhibit their proud works for sale or just for display. It is one of the major Otaku events in Japan, just as Comic Market. The show was originally run by General Products from 1984 - 1992. After 1992, Kaiyodo (Famous for its Garage kit products) has taken over the show as the host. Each year, the number of visitors to Wonder Festival has been increasing. By looking at data from 2005 summer Wonder Festival, number of participating dealers was: 1,591, and the show recorded the total visitors of 34,170. This time, they even expanded the exhibit space, thus we expect those numbers to be even higher. (Numbers for 2006 Winter WF N/A at this time) Exhibited Garage Kits were not only "Moe" themed, but also had many varieties of theme such as "Monster", "Insect", "Animals" and "Robots". By looking at those images, I hope you can feel the real "Moe" in 3D artist community in Japan.
