Bukiya - Weapon Shop
[IN JAPANESE]
Weapons from all over the world are sold at this place.
History is full of wars. We won't say that war is good, but there have been many legendary weapons born from the battles.
Today, we are introducing "Bukiya - Blade Works".
This store sells more than 100 kinds of well-known weapon replica, from history.
Japanese sword - Nihonto - is the spirit of Japan.
When you think of Japanese, some of you might think "all Japanese wear Kimono and has wired hairstyle".
Of course, that is not true now days, but 100 years ago, it was so. Japanese sword, Nihonto,
was only carried by Samurai. Commoners were not allowed to carry them. It was said "Sword is more important
than the Samurai's life itself".
Nihonto was made of Steel. Therefore, if it was not well taken care of, it got rusty.
Such laziness could lose one's life at the emergency situation. Therefore, a good samurai
always had to take care of his sword.
Nihonto
Common Nihonto has a slight slope and the blade has wavy pattern. This pattern makes the blade
seem more beautiful
Display Nihonto (replica) and feel like a Samurai
Japanese sword varies from long sword which is carried by your Waist, and short sword called
"aiding sword". Many blades have slight slope, but "Ninja blade" does not have such slope,
because it is used to pierce object.
Ninjya-To (Ninja blade)
Characteristic of Ninja-To is its straight blade. Case has a pointing head, so that
Ninja can stick this sword onto the ground and use it as a climbing aid.
The real swords cost more than ten thousands dollars...but here is much cheaper
This shop carries replicas. Therefore, you can obtain your favorite swords
for the cost of 1/10. Price varies from 50 dollars to more than one thousand
dollars. Products vary from Japanese sword to western weapons such as chain
mail and Excalibur. The view of this store is pretty amazing. All space at
this store is filled with weapons and armors. If you get a chance to go to
Akihabara, we recommend you stop by here.
