Exclusive Interview with Kengo Yonekura
As we announced here, we have obtained a chance to do an exclusive interview with Kengo Yonekura, a famous Japanese +18 manga writer.
"Keep your body temperature warm!" is her magic word. Also, exclusive artworks from Ms.Yonekura is coming up soon. So be sure to check back again!
Q1: What kind of child were you when you were small?
A1: Not much different from now. I was kind of masculine.

Q2: What made you decide to pursue the current career?
A2: Because I didn't want to ride a train during rush hour.
Q3: What are the best characteristics of your drawing?
A3: My characters seem to have a warm body temperature.
Q4: Which part of your image do you put the best thought into? (Such as facial expression, environment etc)
A4: Keep their body temperature warm.
Q5: What program and software do you use to create your works?
A5: - I use B4 paper to draw monochrome manga by using pen, ink and screen tone.
- Scan illustration and manga, then use Photoshop to color. Sometimes I use Painter.
Q6: Which part of the image do you start with? (Such as face line, background, etc)
A6: Depends on the illustration, but most of time, I decide the facial expression first.
Q7: Do you have any creators you admire?
A7: Many
Q8: Where do you get your inspirations from? (Example: from books, TV, etc)
A8: By looking at people in town or around me, and finding their body temperature warm.
Q9: What is the ultimate art for you?
A9: I don't know. I am still seeking for it.
Q10: Do you have a goal in terms of creating works?
A10: Not really. I just want to continue enjoy drawing.
Q11: Do you like any animals?
A11: Human. In addition to that, I live with 2 cats, 2 Nishiki snakes. I adore them.
Q12: What is your blood type?
A12: A
Q13: How do you spend your weekends?
A13: I go out to town and meet friends. I like going to CD store, cloth shop, live house, and park. I sometimes go visit my family back home.
Q14: Do you have any sites you check everyday?
A14: I like Japanimation cosplay sites and often see them.
Q15: What is your hobby other than drawing?
A15: Not that I can think of. My hobby became my work. So, my work is hobby, and my hobby is work. That's enough to occupy my time.

Q17: Would you accept work offer from USA?
A17: Regardless of works from Japan or from outside, right now my schedule is pretty much full.
