Today, we had a chance to ask Maruto! 19 questions.
Q1:What kind of child were you when you were small?
A1: I was a very talkative child and would not stay still.
Q2: What made you decide to pursue the current career?
A2: After I quit the company I was working for, I had a chance to get involved in Manga related work. Since then, I am continuing to be in this field.
Q3: What are the characteristics of your drawing?
A3: My work does not have any eroticism...which is my weakness.
Q4: Which part of your image do you put the best
thought into?
A4: For each illustration I work on, I hope to include something "new" element.
Q5: Among all of your works, which one do you like the best?
A5:
I always like my creation right after it is completed, but I usually get tired of it after about a week.
Q6: What program and software do you use to create
your works?
A6:
Painter 6.
Q7: What is the ultimate art for you?
A7: Any creations that satisfies the creator and the viewer at the same time...that would be a perfect piece.
In terms of ultimate....if the creator could receive a fortune from such work, that will be very cool. lol.
Q8: Which part of the image do you start with? (Such
as face line, background, etc)
A8: For a character, I start with the face. ...but I usually draw the whole image balance first.
Q9: Do you have any creator or artist you admire?
A9: Yes...but I usually like many creator's illustration at the first glance.
I don't think I have a specific creator whom I am a big fan of.
Q10: Where do you get your inspirations from? (Example:
from books, TV, etc)
A10: From movie previews, water surface and sound of wave.
Q11: Do you have a goal in terms of creating works?
A11:
I don't think I would have a goal. To tell the truth, I like to move onto other fields before I get to my goal in this field.
Q12: What animals do you like?
A12:
Dogs and birds. I also like fishes...
Q13: What is your blood type?

Q14: How do you spend your weekends?
A14:
If I have money, I go out with my car. If I don't, I stay home and watch movie and play games.
Q15: Do you have any sites you check everyday?
A15: Car related sites and F1 sites. Also, movie related sites.
Q16: What is your hobby other than drawing?
A16: Reading, watching movie, Civilization (Game)
Q17: Do you have any project you are currently working on?
A17:
There are few.
Q18: Message to creators outside of Japan
A18:
Please support me even though I am a lousy creator. Also, please be careful and cautious about the term "MOE".
Q19: Would you accept work offer from outside of Japan?
A19: Yes, but I would appreciate if such offer could brought to me in Japanese.
